I wanted to leave no stars. Don’t expect Customer Service. As the woman who owns it told me; walk in customers are not her concern. And don’t expect to use any of the large washers she has pictured in her ad, they’re all tied up with commercial items. Which is okay if they want to be commercial, but don’t advertise as a Laundromat and post pictures of large machines and lure people in thinking that they are going to be able to get their laundry done in a reasonable amount of time and expense and use machines that fit their needs. But then again as she said they make no accommodation for walking customers needing a large machine. Then advertise that! No matter if you are camping and supporting other businesses in the community and get rained out and your blankets get wet and you need large machines. Even if two come available during the discussion, they will not accommodate you. You are relegated to the small Regular size washers. One woman told me I could put my big velvet double sided king blanket into one of those. She assured me that it would get clean.🫤 No, it would’ve just absorbed all the water and the beaters would’ve beat it up and I doubt the soap would’ve gotten rinsed out of it. There were three or four women there folding the things that were coming out of the dryers, they monopolise most of them as well, who all joined in to tell me “Oh no, walk in customers don’t get to use the big machines!” Silly me! Then advertise that! The owner told me that she didn’t have to advertise the truth about her business. At one point in the event it came to mind that I had stumbled upon a scene from Hokus Pokus; they only needed their cauldrons. 😂 So beware. One of my fellow campers got similar treatment. She didn’t feel welcome either and was spoken to rudely. I was actually told that if I didn’t like it, I could get out. Such charming local folks. I can add that to my rep résumé tossed out of a laundromat in Townsend, Tennessee. There are 24 hour Laundromats up the road in Pigeon Forge about 12 miles. It’s worth a drive. Wares Valley is a cute row of shops and restaurants on the way. And Pigeon Forge is right there.

I went in today to wash one king size quilt. Spoke to the attendant because all of the machines except the very smallest ones are labeled commercial clients only. She said well if she doesn’t have anything to go in there I could use it for $15 it was the smallest of the larger machines the price seemed very high. So I politely said I think I can probably find somebody to wash it for that price and she said very smartly OK bye. Did not seem at all concerned with customer service. This is the third time I’ve been in here to find that they use all their machines for commercial laundry. It’s not really a laundromat it’s a commercial laundry that sometimes lot to do laundry

Julie is a wonderful owner. Everyone is friendly. The drop and fold service is amazing. She is acquiring more commercial accounts.

We love the Townsend Laundromat! We use them for drop off laundry mostly. The employees and owner are all pleasant and helpful. Their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone needing drop off or laundromat services!

This place is HORRIBLE! My husband and I have been using this laundromat since they first opened. We were pleased because it was well kept and convient. Well things have drastically changed and NOT for the better. This laundromat is now basically reserved for commercial use yet they still want our money. We are now forced to use tiny machines with price gouging prices, not to mention their commercial business takes up all of the tables leaving individuals with no place to fold laundry. Heck, one of the workers there tried to take my little cart while I was still using it. Definitely my worst laundromat experience in 58 years. What a shame! If they want to continue getting the individual's business they should do commercial business after hours. I will look for a different laundromat in the future. I have spent way too much money in there to be treated like this!

This place is an absolute NO for me. I really wish I read the reviews before coming to do laundry here. There was one older lady who was very kind and helpful. The younger girls working there don’t care. This laundromat has the smallest and most expensive washers. $2.75 a load and you can barely fit half of a small load in. I had to use 3 washers for something that should have been maybe a load and a half. I asked to use the bigger washers but ALL say “commercial use only”. Then paid almost $4 for a dryer which left my clothes damp. When I sat to wait for my laundry I realized how dirty the place was..cobwebs in the windows, dust all over the floors. I spend around $15 for something that should have been around $7.50. Prior to doing my own laundry I paid for a wash and fold. Clothes come back folded inside out or barely folded, and all socks and undergarments are just tossed in a plastic bag..you pay $1.50/lb. Definitely won’t go here again..sorry.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Dirty commercial laundry with dirty individual washers. Obviously no standard cleaning procedures. Five or six people working there doing KOA, hotel, and other customer laundry. Clean hotel laundry falling on the floor and not being rewashed, as well as clean sheets being dragged on the floor as they’re being folded. Gross. One of the washers I was using stopped mid wash and would never finish. When I informed one of the workers, I was told that they would inform maintenance. No one picked up and machine is locked. The worker told me once it unlocked I could move it to another machine. No apology or telling me they would pay for the rewash. When I said that I wasn’t going to pay again, she snapped, “I never said you were”. Fifteen minutes later, I’m still waiting for the machine to unlock to retrieve my unwashed, soaking wet laundry so I can leave. So unsat. Update: 30 minutes now with laundry locked in washer. Update: Waited over 45 minutes until maintenance man came and opened the washer. Got my soaking wet, unwashed load out and took it with me. Everyone there had an excuse. Gave me a refund. No apology.
