Peninsula Cleaners & Bethany Beach Laundromat

After reading so many negative reviews, we thought we should give this place a pass and drive a little further. But in the interest of time, we stopped into Peninsula. We are so glad we did. This business has been around for awhile so the building (which is only leased by the cleaners and NOT owned by them) is showing its age. The washers and dryers are mostly functional (one or two not working). They are clean and easy to operate. We had no problem using anything in the laundromat and found all of the employees to be courteous and helpful. Due to the leasing aspect of the business, it wouldn’t make sense for Peninsula to put a lot of money into upgrades as they could be displaced if the lease owner chose not to renew. So ignore the bad reviews. Give Peninsula a try.

Was told the machines are being worked on haha... I told them that I read the reviews from a month ago and they weren't working then either. Guess they aren't really getting fixed are they... 5,6,7 bucks to wash and more to dry... they have lost their minds .. just did laundry at my last 7 stops for 1.75 a load and all the machines worked .. I ended up not choosing to get ripped off and just got change to spend at a business that earns money, not takes it!

Painful…no price transparency, change machines broken, money lost in machines not marked “out of order”…don’t usually leave reviews but no phone number and no attendant.

I spent and wasted $60. Dryers do not work period. I had to restart the dryers multiple times. Dryers would pop open as my clothes were drying.

First time here for the laundromat. They have one "NEW 55 lbs Machine" that is out of order along with many other wagers and dryers. Seems a bit old and not well maintained. Was able to get what I needed done but not sure if I'll return.

I've been a loyal customer of Peninsula Dry Cleaners in Bethany Beach for years, and I can't say enough good things about them! Salina, in particular, is an absolute gem. She’s always so friendly and greets me with a warm smile every time I walk in. The service here is top-notch—they consistently do a terrific job with my clothes. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and welcoming dry cleaning services.

For a popular tourist town this place was a dump. A lot of machines are “ out of order” and the place looks old and rundown. I had to go elsewhere this place is NOT maintained. This review is for the laundromat only!

3 of our loads didn’t drain. The lady working seemed to show very little care. We have been here for over 3 hours now just trying to get 2 blankets to dry. At our expense. Also many of the dryers weren’t working. 2 of them we used for 44 min. All she did was reset them. Never checked them. Nor put out of order signs on any of them.

Dryers do not stay latched, no heat in some dryers and dirty and aged machines. Went to get lady next door all she says is “I’ll tell him to get it fixed” it’s apparent that this has been going on for years, small machines barely fit anything in large machines so dirty it is pointless, a hose on the sidewalk would wash the clothes better and dry on the sidewalk as it be more heat than any dryer they have! Out dated equipment should’ve retired or scrapped them years ago…. Lesson learned

Have been using the dry cleaning services & laundromat services for just about a year. Staff are excellent & provide superior customer service. Laundromat machines have been recently updated & have provided quality washing & drying - especially good for large items such as mattress pads & comforters.

I have used the Peninsula Dry Cleaner in Bethany Beach and I love the service they provide. I am always so pleased when I pick up my clothes. They provide great service and very friendly staff.

We used this laundromat for a few months. The cleaners next door will reimburse you if a machine takes your quarters and they'll check to make sure the dryers work. Clean easy good laundromat. A little pricey but good for beach prices.

I highly recommend Peninsula Cleaners in Bethany Beach. The staff is efficient and the prices are reasonable. We have had our dry cleaning and tailoring done here for the last three years. Celina is most helpful and friendly. Peninsula Cleaners has wonderful service and is always supportive of the community.

We are so fortunate to have such a great dry cleaner so close. I've had some mystery stains on clothes in the past and they've done wonders. I also take my bulky comforters there and shoe repairs too. Thank you Selena and crew - you do such a wonderful job every time. We'll continue to refer everyone to you. Keep up the great work!

Salina is the best! She is so friendly and personable. She is one of the biggest reasons why I use Peninsula! I've never had a problem with my clothes/service: friendly service, no damage to clothes, clothes always there when I need them, etc.
