10 years ago I was kicked out of this establisment for breastfeeding my child. It was in the newspaper, though they omitted the name of the establishment. An employee who probably isn't there anymore told me it's a family establishment and if I wanted to breastfeed I could take my laundry (still wet) and go elsewhere. The owner supported the employee's decision. Be warned that of you are a breastfeeding mother they do not welcome you here. But South Willow Express in Cookeville will be more than happy to support you in your breastfeeding journey. They will even offer to get you a drink or transfer laundry for you if you're mid feed when a machine goes off.
Disgusted. Too pricey and went to wash my clothes first thing I see when closing the lid are roaches. I will not be coming back to this establishment. Used to be a clean and tidy establishment. I will not be back
If I could give less than a star I would it should be negative 5 stars. I came in to do laundry and it was horrible everything was still dirty. We work outside and stuff is visibly dirty. They looked same coming out as going in. I started driving to cookeville all the time. Fast forward to today it is cold and my 3 yr old is sick and pooped on our bedding. I came down the mountain to wash the sheets and they came out just as dirty as they went in poo and all.
As we are building our house, we have to used this place once. It only takes once to know not to go back again. Of the three places we have used for laundry, this place was far more expensive by a dollar a wash load. Want just warm water? Another .25, hot another .50. insane. Dryers we so so but took at least .50 more per load to dry then other places. We have three months left of building and we will use another business.
every time i come it’s something new either is the crackheads or the machines this time was the machines it ate 10.75 of my quarters and threw an error code i understand things happen so i call and my clothes are in there my all of the laundry products and my laundry money i always get how much i need out before hand so this left me with no money to actually do my laundry so i had to leave my clothes go to the bank the owner said to use a different machine and linda would come give me my money and i didn’t mind sure it was inconvenience but things happen so i ended up paying more splitting my laundry up and wasted product but then i wait over an hour and no linda so then i call back and he said to come back at 8pm if i want it (it’s 2pm)
Folks don't go here if you can keep from it. This place is unbelievably crooked, the dryers are the worst ripoff I have ever seen. If you time them it's .25 cents a minute and it takes 6 to 10 dollars to dry towels. I screwed up and didn't make it to my regular laundry and boy did it cost me..40 dollars FORTY DOLLARS to do 2 loads that didn't get dry. And I've been here a few times always regret it. Also a lot of trashy people hang out here with employees and always someone doin car detail jobs in the parking lot. So your on your own when you use this establishment...plus it nasty. sparta has its list of really bad business's and this is possibly the worst...
Have had to go a few times the last month or so, and spent over $80. I only use the laundromat when washing large items or having repairs done on my appliances. Truly don't understand how they expect people to do their laundry there regularly. Prices are crazy
Small smells like crap over priced
I do not know who owns the laundromat now but they have ruined the place. Half the machines are broke. They turn the dryer heat down. It costs me twice as much to dry clothes now. The vending machine only accepts bills. Everything costs 1.50 and it DOES NOT GIVE CHANGE! It steals your money! And the claw machine is broken on purpose. The claw does not close, at all! I will not go back. No employees there.....ever.
First experience using a laundromat so I'll assume others are accurate in the complaints about price. $4 for a load of wash and another $4 for dryer. That does seem like a lot to me but I could be wrong. Saw some roaches running around, so that's fun. But it's nice they do have machines that accept cards as well as having working change machines, far cry from the sketchy place down in Spencer. I rarely have cash on me so I'm glad I won't have to go out of my way for change if I don't want to.
