SmoothWash Laundromat

This was my first time doing laundry here, and it was honestly overwhelming. The prices are outrageous: washers and dryers are expensive, detergent and laundry bags are overpriced (a single bag is $7, when you can get three next door for the same price!), and even the vending machine charges almost $2 for a small bag of chips. To make matters worse, a lot of the machines were broken, which made it harder to even get my laundry done. The environment itself also needs improvement — there are a lot of people coming and going, some just hanging around, and it doesn’t feel particularly welcoming or organized. The only good thing I can say is that I was able to finish my laundry, but that’s about it. Definitely recommend checking out other laundromats in the area before settling on this one.

I have been going to this laundromat for about a year now and I am so satisfied every time I leave here. The employees are patience and kind and the owner is a reasonable, decent man. There is a level of respect that I receive in this place of cleanliness and i love it. I usually utilize the drop off services, to the folding and care to my clothes I say Thank you! See you soon!

No hot water and your clothes don't wash the rinse cycle gives your clothes full of soap and the dryers he charges you 50 cents for 5 minutes and after that 25 cents is only 5 minutes and I still doesn't dry your clothes after spending 2 dollars to dry...also the owners got upset at the worker for not being on there side. Bad business taking advantage of hard working people

Where do I start? The washers BARLEY works . Every week u come to wash clothes it’s a different machine out of order. The water flow is very low for the machines . The inside of the machines be dirty ( tissue & candy wrappers inside) the laundry attendants some of them are rude & lazy and barely wanna work . Wouldn’t recommend .

Clean, efficient, and convenient! The machines work great, the staff is friendly, and there’s plenty of space to fold and wait. It's definitely my go-to spot for laundry day.

I have been to many different laundromats in my life but This one sure is special. The place is extremely clean and it smells so fresh and the clothes I pick up are always perfectly folded I don’t even know how the girls can do it that way 5 stars all the way! You will not be disappointed

I have been coming to this laundromat for over 7 years now and I'm disappointed by how it's being run; while I appreciate the new owner doing a much needed reno on the place, the greed is becoming too much to bare. When I first started coming here in 2017 most of the washing machine work, had hot water, reliable timers and cost $2.75 a wash. Now in 2025 most of the washing machine are out of service, no hot water, unreliable timers, and cost $3.75. The dryers cost 50¢ to start and 25¢ for each additional 5 mins, while back in 2017 it was 25¢ per 8 mins. I am glad the machine uses quarters rather then the rip-off card system other laundromats uses, it be nice if you can the coin machine as most of them are broken or don't except certain bills like 5,10, or 20s also the onsite ATM only give multiple of 10s rather than 5s and has a high surcharge of $3. If you are going to charge so much please fixed all your machines.

Diane took care of me and my coworker while we were in Newark for a long business trip. Super friendly and amazing laundry service, I couldn’t ask for anything more. Fantastic service, and one of the friendliest business owners to work with. Easily 5 stars, will give Smooth Wash Laundromat again next time I’m in town for work. If you an want outstanding experience, THIS is the place.
