UPDATE: 7/26/21 One week after my first review, changes were made. See the 3 updates below. • The dryer I reported on with the missing door was fixed. I will remove that photo. • The place was a lot cleaner. • The washer stated a cost of$3.25 and it took $3.25 to get it started vs. $4.25. I will add new pictures to support the change. ------------------ Old Review Below ------------------ The washer I used worked. The price displayed was not accurate. $3.25 was displayed, but the washer required $4.25 to get it started. The dryer I used worked. No issues. The place. This business was not the cleanest. Dryer sheets and a sock on the floor. That is a function of the customers, however at the time I was there there were no staff onsite. Several washers and dryers were out of service. Overall, my clothes were washed with no issues
Plenty of parking , nice facility, nestled beside a thrift store and Caribbean restaurant, it is clean, could use some cosmetic touch up, but overall a good place for me and my bobtail rig to do laundry, $2.50- $4.75 depending on washer size, good prices
All of the washers were different prices for no reason. They started at $3.50 and went up to $6.50. The dryers are only $0.25 but it took at least 8 restarts (at 6 minutes each) to dry a moderate sized load. It ended up being about $10 per load, I don’t know how comparable that is to other locations, but it seems really steep to me!
Small, quiet and out the way, not too much traffic here, in and out with no complaints, the owner is a good dude, if you talk to him respectfully he's understanding, the hours pretty much remain the same, just get your last load in by 9pm so they'll be dry by 10 depending on how big the load is.
Simple spot, doors always open, it's open late. I leave my stuff here in the washer, it's always there when I come back. No issues, and it's cheap. Can't complain unless you're really into the way a place looks, if so maybe this ain't your spot.
I do my laundry here it's usually empty. Maybe one or two people washing clothes. The third dryer door opens when the clothes are spinning. So either don't use it or watch it. It's not a new laundry mat but it better than some of the other ones I found around Petersburg.
Likely the best laundromat it the Tri-cities area, it's under new ownership and management and has undergone some great improvements lately, It's owned by someone local and he's put alot of effort into making this a comfortable, clean atmosphere, I'd recommend it to anyone in the area , especially those from the Base!
It's super cheap. No frills but the machines work good. The owner is good about coming right away if there's anything that goes wrong too.
Just shopping around for laundry mats close to home and found this quiet, clean and efficient mat in petersburg, a hidden treasure. Very happy with my find! Will be coming here a lot :-)
