Steel Drum Laundry I

Just went there for my first time today. For me, everything worked fine and the prices are reasonable. The place could definitely be improved which is why it's not rated higher, but there have been some clear improvements recently (the ceiling and walls have been repainted, the ceiling lights all work and are pleasant, and the company information signs are clear and new). Some of the equipment and machines are wearing down or out of order (there were notes on a few machines), and the floors were pretty dirty. The place is a good size and air conditioned, and I saw around 10 other people pass through when I was there mid afternoon on a Saturday. There are change machines, ATMs, and purchasable single-use detergent. The change machines were easy to use and worked properly (the laundry machines only accept quarters of payment through a specific mobile application). Overall it was a good experience but would definitely be nicer if the place was cleaner (for me the detergent receptacles on the washing machines were uncomfortably dirty). I hope this helps!

The floors are real gross and there’s trash all over the floor. Half the washers don’t work, and sometimes when you pay for one dryer (via the app) it’ll just start a different dryer after you’ve already loaded it. Outside, it smells like dirty sewage water. The spin cycle leaves too much water in the clothes compared to my at home machine. Overall just an old, unkempt, laundromat. Sure, you can wash and dry your clothes, but it is kinda gross. I’ll be looking for a better one soon.

Many of the washers and dryers are out of service. Three weeks in, I’m still trying to find a dryer that heats. Every week I change dryers, then have to change at the end of that load hoping for a dryer that has heat. Still trying like a fool- since I’ve run out of options, I’ll try another laundromat next week.

I went to this laundromat 6/13/25 to wash my bedspreads. It was very dirty. The floors were dirty. The baskets had dryer sheets stuck to wheels. Several roaches showed up. There is no attendant. Many machines broken. I used this laundromat less than a year ago & it was fine. I will never use again.

Washing clothes... put my clothes in small white machine #18 (loaded detergent & closed the lid) and put my money in box {$2.50} and the machine did not start. So I had to change machines and add more money to the cost of this week's Laundry. No phone # posted anywhere to call. 🤨 Addendum: the owner has refunded the money lost. Thank you very much, sir.

Went there to wash a couple days ago bc it's close to my place. I used the big washers and tbh I'm not sure my clothes even washed properly. The place where the detergent goes was clogged. I didn't realize that til after my clothes had already went thru the cycle. The dryers weren't working very well. Some had notes so I knew not to use those. But the ones I did try that didn't have notes. Didn't even end up working either. They never got hot. Button wasn't working either. So I had to stop them. Take out my clothes moved to another dryer. It was just alot. Place needs some upkeep. I swear every time I'm in there I just wanna grab and broom and start sweeping the place up lol. But I think I'll just stick to my other laundry mat. Across the way on Linda. I usually have change left after washing but here I went thru it all, and my clothes were still kinda damp. Well anyways thanks for reading.

It was Ok. Had to use a large washer for a comforter. It was clean enough with the exception of the very pissy smelling restroom.

New management so its been a tad better. Though keep an eyebout on any which of the machines (washers&dryers). They'll take your quarters and not run or a dryer will take 3x as long as the other dryer and your clothes are still damp

Most of dryers don't heat up at all a few don't work at all and won't return your money. The washers are nasty dirty. The restroom facility dirty and Commode was clogged. It cost more than other laundry places because the machines eats your money

This place is not maintenanced often and it shows. Many machines were out of order but had no signage stating so. I lost money here like I was playing slots. The number listed on the building doesn't reply. We called, sent text and even emailed the contact info on the building for help but haven't gotten any word back. SAVE YOURSELF SOME SANITY and go to the laundry basket on aquarena even if you have to wait for an open washer bc it's so busy, at least there is always customer service available there. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN

not bad I guess. The washers seems smaller than normal compared to other places, but I don’t know I can’t say for sure. I do know that you’re basically playing Russian roulette with the dryers because a lot of them straight up, do not work.

Basic laundry mat at its not so greatest. The front load washers work great for me ($5/load) and the dryers work okay ($.75/ six minutes), but can't change or show temperature. Beware of just plopping a basket down as there was a rat or very large mouse walking around while I was there

They have huge front loading washers here that are great for comforters but cost $5 on quarters for 1 load. The dryers are equally huge (kinda old though) at $0.25 per 6min, with a minimum of $0.75 per load. Took 1hr for a single comforter …

Fair price for the machines IF they are working. Most are but you must be diligent and observe little clues. But at least on the dryers if they don't work or not produce heat you are only out a quarter.

Simple laundry place. Not overcrowded, but no constant attendant available if any issues come up. Decal says WiFi available, no connection is there. Nothing big about this place, but if you need to get laundry done, it'll work.
