Sunlight Cleaners & Laundromat - Westerville

Sunlight Cleaners is convenient, especially since there aren’t many laundry options nearby. The plants are a nice touch, and I appreciate the effort the owner is putting into the atmosphere. That said, the overall environment could be improved, at times it feels unkempt, and the trash situation would benefit from regular attention. A specific issue I encountered was with Dryer #2: after adding quarters, the wheel did not move. It would be helpful to have machines clearly marked if they are out of service to avoid frustration. Having on-site staff, even part-time, could go a long way toward keeping the space cleaner and ensuring machines are functioning properly. Overall, it’s a usable laundromat with potential, but there are some areas in need of attention to make the customer experience better.

I am new to the Columbus area and at the moment my washer and dryer is in storage so I decided to use this laundromat until my appliances are shipped here. My first visit was fine it was around 9pm on a Sunday. There is a lot of out of order washer and dryers but for the most part I was in and out so I decided to come back. Well my second visit was awful. I had 4 large bags of clothes and there was a shopping cart in the parking spot next to me so I used it to push my clothes to the door and carry them inside. Before I could barely get in the sidewalk the rude tenant raises her voice at me saying “you can’t take that in there!” I’m yeah I know thats why I’m going over here with it to unload it. I take 2 bags and come out to get the other bags and I said “well you could help me” and she said “nope not while I’m smoking a cigarette”. She was just very snippy and rude. Then she kept trying to get a negative reaction out of me. First she came to the washers I was using soon as I sat my detergent down and decided she had to move my stuff to wipe that are at that exact moment, then I was standing by one of the many out of order washers waiting for the time to put in my fabric softner and laundry disinfectant and she comes right next to me spraying the inside of the out of order washer next to me with some high power nozzle that ended up spraying me. I didn’t say nothing I just moved. I hope that the owner will review the cameras to see that nothing I’m saying is a lie. This happened 7/26/25 around 9:00a-9:30m. Some people assume that because you are using the laundromat that they can treat you any kind of way. She has not clue that I am a engineer who works for a FirstEnergy as a engineer, and I will be sure to mention this experience to all my co works so that if they are ever visit this area that they do not come here as she made an experience that I typically find therapeutic, a stressful experience. Another patron just asked her if she was okay and her response was “I’m fine, if you want me to do cartwheels while I’m steam cleaning, that’s a big ask” in the most rude condescending way! She does not need to work with the public! She choose to work her therefore she accepted that she would need to pleasant and work with the general public but her attitude sucks!

This is the cleanest laundromat I have ever been to & the dryers are EXCELLENT! They dry clothes faster than I've ever seen! They have more than plenty of great quality machines that are available when you need them & the change machine is always working! It's never busy. In fact, I've never seen more than 2 other people on the few occasions I've been here! DEFINITELY NOT like some laundromats that have people hangin' around bumming money from you or whatever! I've actually had to leave my clothes sitting in washers for a couple hours before I could get back & they were left untouched! Since I happen to be sitting here bored right now, here's what they've got: (14) 30 lb Washers, (3) 60 lb Washers, (3) 50 lb Washers, (2) 90 lb Washers, (9?) 20 lb Washers, & (17) Regular size Washers, & (33) Dryers!

I hate this laundry mate. Dryers very limited half of them not working. Not enough large washers always very very crowded no room. I’m from out of state and GPS always takes me there …. But not anymore. No place to wash loads unless u want many washers .

The woman who is attendant here is great. Our washing machine at home is broken so this was my first time here and she helped me with the washer. She was also very nice.

This by far is my worst experience here. I've been going to a different laundry mat, which is further away from me...but decided to give them another chance. First of all, there are so many "out of order" washers & dryers. At least 25% You raised the cost of the load 50cents, maybe use that to repair or replace. Secondly, the laundry mat was flithy!! Machines are disgusting, clothes and trash all over the floors. I realize that it is a hard time to staff a business, but this is shameful. I will not be back.

Laundry day is a comfortable, fun day in Westerville because Sunlight Cleaners & Laundromat offers the fantastic Alex! She is helpful, explains how everything works, cleans the place and is great to customers. Plenty of washers and dryer--all clean, prices are terrific and the laundromat community is friendly and cordial. Alex makes laundry day a great day and we really appreciate her helpful and friendly customer service!! If you have to choose a place to do your laundry--Sunlight Cleaners & Laundromat in Westerville is a great choice!!

Been going here for a few months now. Great location. Reasonably priced.

Friendly staff, excellent washers and driers, clean interior. This was by far the most enjoyable laundromat experience I have ever had, as well as the fastest.

5/23/25 TEN dryers NOT working. My time is as valuable as yours.
