La Peña Coin Laundry (Lavanderia)

Amazing experience, good music, welcoming environment. No moldy smell, just fresh. They have an ATM, change machine, massage chairs, and a very well stocked detergent room. Management is extremely personable, and here to help you. Come early in the morning and she'll make you laugh. Very affordable wash, and free drying!

First time here and they did not disappoint was very well taken care of even got a free wash since I was missing the total amount.

I came because of how every review talked about Millie. I went today and Millie was there and she is in fact what everyone says she is… sweet/nice. I dropped off 50 pounds of clothes and was back to pick them up in under 3 hours (the time doesn’t really matter to me, but just in case someone was wondering). They smell so good and they are folded. I’ll definitely be back.

First time washing here and the manager (Millie) was very kind, sweet and helpful. She gave me a tour around the laundromat, along with making me aware that it is parking located in the back. The laundromat is very well kept, the machine and floors are very clean. To add to the experience you can use a message chair while you wait on your clothes to finish.

Great customer service, first time visiting and they make you feel very welcome. Not to mention they have two massaging chairs for $1 🫶🏼 slot machines… oh I think I’ll be in here longer than intended! …

The owner of the place she is so wonderful!!! She helped out with everything very nice!! she is very respectful with everybody!!! A Great place to do your laundry and relax with very good music and they have massage chairs wooow and they have some slots machines to play as well wooow Super great place you won’t regret it especially the final touch. You have free dryer.

The laundromat is managed by a wonderful woman who is extremely helpful, and a couple of respectful handy-men But I couldn't help but notice that this business has a flag hanging up above their coin machine near the entrance on S Kedzie. --------- Wow, thank you so much for your quick follow up and response. I really appreciate your honesty / transparency here, and fully admire your decision to take down the flag! Thank you for respecting my concerns. I will be glad to continue supporting this community business of such integrity.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LAUNDROMAT. HALF THE DRYERS DON'T EVEN DRY. 10 IF NOT MORE WASHING MACHINES SAY, OUT OF ORDER! EXTREMELY SMALL. AND VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT. My first time going here, just because my local laundromat was not open. Very small laundromat, you can hardly get around from one machine to the next. The customers there seem very used to it being very crowd. All the customers seem to be understanding of the small space. No big deal so far. I did have more clothes to wash than usual since I'm helping an ill family member with their laundry. It was 7pm and I was loading the dryers with my clothes and a worker approaches me and said that the doors will close at 7pm but who ever was still washing can finish up. So i continued to dry my clothes and 40 minutes later another worker said That i had 15 minutes to finish because they close at 8. Mind you, I was still folding and had machines still drying. It hit 8pm. one of the workers said, im receiving a text from the manager that yous have to leave. At that point I felt very disrespected because I was not done yet and I was being rushed and kicked out. when i asked to talk to the manager she refused to give me her number or to even talk to her/him. I said well this is very disrespectful because there is no sign anywhere that everyone needs to be out at 8pm. She then proceeded to talk to the manager or whomever she was on the phone with and was telling her what was going on. She then proceeded to hand me the phone so I can talk to the person on the phone. The lady on the phone spoke spanish and very rudely said, "You you have 10 minutes to leave." She had a very rude tone with me also telling me that as a customer I only had 30 minutes to wash and another 30 minutes to dry and that I went way over the time. I made her aware that no where in the laundromat does it say that I was being timed. We went back and forth about how I felt disrespected as a customer that I was being kicked out. She yelled at me with a sarcastic tone once more and just ended the conversation with, "WELL YOU HAVE 10 MINUTES TO LEAVE IT IS WAY OVER 8pm" I been to other laundromats and they at least have the courtesy to let me finish folding. So I left out of there with clothes still damped, because on top of that I found out that 3 of the drying machines I had loaded DIDN'T EVEN DRY! so more time wasted there. I apologized to the kind ladies working there, because I know they are just doing their job and following protocol. It is really not their fault it is MANAGEMENT! I HAD AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE THERE. If there is someone else I can reach out to to report the incident please reach out to me. I felt very insulted as a paying customer. Never have I felt so insulted.

Best laundry mat there is. The staff is so welcoming and friendly. They always have the best radio playing so you can pass the time folding. They recently installed more dryers to make dry time go by faster. Overall, I recommend stopping by if you're looking for a new laundry spot. They have parking out back and restaurants in the area to pass the time while you wait for your laundry.

Awesome vibe great customer service Lili helped me a lot and a young lady that works in the afternoon did too. Will come here from now on for sure..BTW dryers are free 💯 I love it …
