Laundry Basket - Two Locations In Salem

It was clean and easy to use the machines. There is a change machine for quarters but you'll need to bring cash to use it (credit/debit won't help you here!) Washers cost from $2.50 - $6 per load. Be sure to check dryers for gunk before you use them (one of mine had some orange gummy stuff) and I had one dryer stop working mid-cycle. I didn't see a sign for it but figured out the dryers were 25 cents for 10 minutes. The big washers definitely wash the best and easily fit my 8x10 washable rug. The front doors don't stay closed so when people smoke/vape outside it wafts right in. There are nice rolling basket carts available to use and some big tables for folding and hanging. Very convenient location.

Its clean, the washers run good, the dryers do great with 1.00 or 1.25 depending on what you're drying. Only downsides are that there is only one row of bigger washers with several basic regular top load washers. Plus, the a/c isn't the greatest and the door sticks open and has to be pulled closed pretty hard. I would definitely come here again though.

Very, very affordable washers with little to no wait time, but the dryers have to be pre- heated in order to dry clothes in a timely fashion.

Nice, fairly clean place but you have kids (high school or college age) hanging out at the one on East Main Street and vaping inside the laundromat. I don't want my clean laundry smelling like someones vape or smoke. This should not be permitted. When the kid was asked to leave he laughed at the lady that told him he needed to vape outside. He was rude so was his friend to the lady. He was NOT doing any laundry, he was hanging out there with his friend and vaping and doing who knows what else. Need more signs stating no smoking AND no vaping inside and no hanging out unless you are actually doing laundry. Also maybe have some presence there.

I usually don't use a laundromat as I wash my laundry at my home take it to my daughter's to dry. but hers was closed today so I came here to dry my laundry at the west main street bldg. It is very clean. It does not smell like smoke. I put $1 in for a load of clothes but I think 50 cents would have dried them completely. If I need a laundromat again I would come here

My second time coming here. I have a stackable washer dryer in my apartment but come here for my comforters. Always clean and decently priced. People saying the machines are old but speedqueen is one of the best washers you can buy.

great laundry mat! not many laundry mats are clean & sanitary today.. & I’ve personally watched them wipe each washer individually at the end of the day & that’s awesome, after finding this one I’ll never go to another one! & they always update their game machines so my boyfriend stays out my way while I do laundry lol works perfect

Loved the big capacity washers at the location that is across the street from the old Home Shopping Network Warehouse in Salem,VA. Need a separate place for laundry powders, bleach, dryer sheets and fabric softener instead of food machine at the same location.
