Disappointing Experience at Windy Hill Wash and Dry I recently visited Windy Hill Wash and Dry, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The facility had a number of issues that made the entire process frustrating. One of the most glaring problems was the state of the washers. Out of the available machines, a surprising four were out of order for an extended period of time. Not only did this significantly reduce the number of available options, but it also led to overcrowding and longer wait times for the functioning machines. To make matters worse, washers 58, 58, and 60 were particularly disappointing. Despite their short 20-minute cycle, a mere four minutes were dedicated to actually filling up the washer with water leaving only 16 minutes for washing the clothes, leaving them far from clean. I strongly advise against using these washers to avoid wasting your money. The dryers at Windy Hill Wash and Dry were equally frustrating. Charging a quarter for only 4 minutes of drying time is simply unreasonable. This exorbitant rate left me shocked, and I couldn't help but feel that I was being taken advantage of. While it seems that the facility's late-night hours might be convenient for some, it's clear that the quality of service has suffered. I overheard numerous patrons complaining about the broken washers and inefficient dryers, and it was disheartening to witness. I sincerely hope that the owners read this review and take it as an opportunity to improve their service. Addressing the broken washers, extending the cycle times for washers 58, 59, 60, and reevaluating the dryer rates would be steps in the right direction. It's my wish that they prioritize the community they serve and work towards providing a better laundry experience without exploiting their customers financially. In conclusion, Windy Hill Wash and Dry left me thoroughly disappointed. I hope that others can benefit from this review by making an informed decision about whether to visit this establishment. Tom
The wash went well, but when it came to the dryers it was awful. We had 3 dryers filled about 1/4 of the way and set 2 of them on medium and one on high for almost an hour each and at the end of it all even the dryer that was on high was extremely damp. If the dryers were better then it would have been okay
I used three machines. However, my clothes were more wet When the cycle finished compared to other laundromats . My conclusion is that the spin motors are substandard.. Then at $0.25 for 4 minutes I needed to spend more money at this laundromat. I spent a small fortune at this place.. As far as outside goes cigarette butts strewn everywhere.
Love this place minus washing machines 87 and 85. They run slow. I set a timer on my phone and there's always 9-12 minutes left when I go inside. Otherwise the facility is clean, machines don't carry a mildew smell and wash and dry the clothes great. 2 change machines that have not been empty or out of order once since I've been coming here. You can fit a massive amount of clothes in the XL washer, the L washer holds its fair share too. $10.50 and I used both to do all my clothes in one and my sheets, duvet cover, blanket, and 2 robes with room to spare.
This place was very well maintained and clean. No washers or dryers were out of service. Two change machines which was an excellent idea! Detergent is also for sale in case you forget yours. An ideal location, the strip mall is close and convenient, with some great little stores near by (Craft and Sip, North Country Pharmacy, The Right Bottle, and if you’re hungry Dominicks Pizza!). The only thing I would suggest to the owner is getting another “large load” washer. Otherwise, if you need a laundromat, I would recommend this place!
Good machines, not bad pricing, not usually crowded and usually always clean!
I've always wondered how there was always dirt in the wash machines. Well there is no wonder anymore. Today 2 people have spent the day taking over this laundary mat washing floor mat rugs that belong on the floor of a store or business! In the same washers we are washing clothing in. Not only floor mats but massive amounts of aprons and table cloths for a business like setting. That really don't bother me but the floor mats that belong on the floor do. Not only that they are drying them in the dryers making the whole place smell like rubber. And none can get near anything as they are taking up every washer n dryer. It's sick that there is no signs stating that certian items can not be washed in the machines. I come here all the time ill be finding a new place to go after this.
It was okay, washers were mostly clean, there was no one maintaining the washers no wipes to clean anything before use. The prices were reasonable. They close very late in the evenings, so it is easy to socially distance from others.
Honestly one of the smaller but cleaner laundromats around. Plus they are upfront and honest with their hours, they don't play games with their customers and very friendly and helpful owners.
Washing machines of different sizes are OK but the drying time a quarter for 4 minutes and mind you I added more than a dollar worth and still didn't complete dry
