Everywhere online for the hours for this business are listed as closing at 10 pm. We planned our evening around these hours. We had dinner reservations at 6:30. Dropped off our 1 load of clothes at 6:25, and planned to arrive around 7:30-8 to quickly dry and then head home. We arrived back at the laundromat to be met at the door by an immediate angry woman telling me they are closed and we cannot dry our clothes. I said, oh that's odd your hours say 10 online. She continues in a harsh, condescending, rude, demeaning, angry tone, "Well the sign posted there says 8" and we are closed. The sign she pointed to is hidden in a corner, NOT on the door in an easily posted area. I proceeded to empty my washer and put my clothes in a bag. I didn't even realize the time at this point, I assumed by her tone it was 8 or past 8 for that matter. She continued harshly telling me to get my clothes and to hurry up. I then looked at my watch. It was 7:45. I at this time said to her, actually, do you close at 7:45 or 8?! We close at 8 she screams and we have already cleaned up and we are closed now. Well it is only 745 and I have 15 minutes to dry my clothes I said to her. She then said she was going to call the police. I told her to please do so, in fact i will help you call, as you are the one out of line here, not me! You have 15 minutes before you close. This business needs to wake up to the current century. Before patronizing a business, customers look online for a business that meets their needs. Hours is one of the most important factors when looking at a location to wash ones clothes when in an area they are not familiar with, and in our case visiting for only a week. She said she has worked there for over 8 years. she would not be employed for longer than a day if I owned this business. I have never been treated with such disrespect and disregard for civility. I would drive an hour out of way to NEVER patronize this business ever again! The woman is pictured in a green dress with a boot on her foot.
Before I went, I read all of these negative reviews about rude behavior from staff. I was a bit apprehensive, but wanted to be able to walk to get my laundry done. I had been up all night so I could watch the sunrise, so I walked in there acting like someone who had never even seen a laundromat, and what I experienced was nothing but friendliness and helpfulness. Not to mention, you can walk to a CVS. So about the negative reviews, I'm not sure. Perhaps they match energies with you. Maybe they've listened to your constructive criticism. Maybe they're only nice to people with side ponytails. Give that one a shot.
I called last minute to use their services and they came through with the much needed help! Left our clothes clean and smelling great. I wish I got her name she was amazing. I am so appreciative for her helping us out last minute. Great place, great staff, very reasonable rates for their services. Definitely earned a new ongoing customer.
I have no problems going to this laundromat except for Sunday evening everytime I go in the woman working there and her husband harass me. I literally walked in tonight at 6:45 to just dry a few things and I was told I could not do anything unless I walk in the door before 6:30. Now I understand last wash is at 6:30 but I was not washing any clothes. I go here once a week and only have a problem when they are there. This was not the first time this has happened to me it happens every time I go in there and they are working!
I am sorry to have to write about my experience here. As a summer person, I often did laundry here no problem. I dropped off a dress recently to be dry-cleaned. I paid for it at the time of drop off, figuring that was easy enough, however, upon pick-up, they tried to charge me for an additional dress. The cleaner had removed the slip insert of the dress and proceeded to tell me that I was trying to scam them with dropping off two dresses. No one would wear this tiny skip as a dress. Needless to say, I had no choice but to pay for TWO dresses because I had borrowed this from a friend for a wedding. I was LIVID at their lack of service and understanding. This made absolutely no sense. Will not be returning ever again.
Went in this morning and the woman working there (while on her cell phone the entire time) nearly ran me over to block me from using the change machine. Even though there is a sign stating so, she felt it necessary to tell me I’m not allowed to use the machines “unless you’re doing laundry.” I was literally holding a bag of laundry in my hands. Why else would I be in the laundromat at 10am? She apologized when I told her, but it was really excessive and unnecessary. Maybe if she wasn’t on a phone call for over an hour she would notice that customers coming in are holding laundry. I definitely will not be returning.
They did a good job with my laundry
I used the largest machine for $5.75 and noticed there was not enough water in the wash cycle. I notified the clerk, who agreed and took my name and number. The towels came out with patches of dry areas. So I rewashed in a different machine. The manager NEVER had the decency to call me. So today I went and asked about my refund and was told by the same clerk that the owner checked it and it's fine. For $5.75 would you lose a good customer? I think NO. THIS PLACE IS BAD! DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF!!
The staff is rude! I put my laundry in the machines and proceeded to get quarters from the machine and got yelled at by the Spanish speaking woman at the counter being told the quarters are for customers only, I told her yeah I'm doing laundry when she proceeded to challenge me and have the audacity to say "where's your laundry then, show me!" Not a way to treat customers especially ones that live locally year round in Seaside Heights. Now I go over the bridge to Leo's laundry, it's more expensive and not as clean and the machines aren't as efficient but at least I don't get treated like dirt there. Fix your staff!
Dryers are hit or miss. Some heat up fully and some just eat ur your quarters. This has been an issue for years. Owners should do a better job making sure their equipment is fully functional.
