Make sure the car wash change machine works before you wash your car. Was washing our suv I had some change. Started washing needed more change, went to get change and go figure it won't take any of my bills. And it was 9:30pm so I had to drive home and wash the soap off.
I never come here cause their washer and dryer are not good at all. Washer don't spin out clothes good. Woth only one twin blanket, and small blanket and a sheet. And said it was too full when it was not heavy at all. She said I would have to spin them again another 2.50. And wouldn't do nothing about it. Dryers take way to much money and dont dry clothes. Will wait at another lau dry mar next time. She was not nice at all.
Nice washers & dryers. Convenient while washing a vehicle and doing laundry in the same place.
I'm not from Hickory, I'm here because I have a loved one in the hospital. I found this place on Google maps, it's a little out of the way from the hospital but it's very clean and the equipment is well maintained. The prices are reasonable and the lady who works there is very sweet. I didn't catch her name but I know she has lived here since the 60s and retired from the hospital. They're lucky to have someone so sweet employed here and she spoke very highly of the owner so I'm sure they are amazing humans as well. I'll continue to come here as long as I have to stay in Hickory. Makes me feel like I'm back home to come to a place so welcoming.
Nice to come in and wash your Comforters, and Pillow shams all at once! There is always someone available to help if you need any assistance!
Paid $8 to wash a large load in hot water. It never got hot and the attendant says it's hot, even after feeling the cold glass front. They don't care about their customer service. It's all about the money, nothing else.
Went today to wash huge bed comforters, blankets, bath mats... everything simply too big and heavy for my own personal washer. I'm always hesitant because you never know what these places are like, and let's be honest, most of the time they're a little sketchy. But not this one! I walked in, leaving my things in the truck so I could check it out before I bothered unloading it all. As soon as I walked through the doors, a gentleman in his 50s greeted me, asked if he could help. I told him I had larger items and haven't been to a laundromat in awhile. He quickly pointed me to the larger machines, the ones that would hold my comforters (and that machine could hold prob 4-5 comforters. I was in HEAVEN!), proceeded to point out the medium and small ones too. He advised me to pack them full to get my money's worth. I brought all my stuff in, all 6+ baskets of it. He seen my bath mats and asked that I not wash/dry any that have rubber peeling off the back because they mess up his machines and cause a fire hazzard when they get into the crevices. I had a mix of new and old, I didn't mind AT ALL washing the old ones at home. They're the cheap, thin old ones that I had tossed onto the pile since I was going. I appreciated how well he treated his machines and the time he spent to upkeep the integrity of the machines. It made me feel better knowing the machines were clean and well kept. The facility was clean, machines were clean, a couple people there but not too busy and it felt SAFE. Washing costs more then drying (which I didn't know). The biggest machine I used for my comforters and blankets cost $6.50 on warm. It was $7 for hot and $6.25 for cold. That one washer held at least 3-4 loads of normal laundry compared to my washer! So it was WELL WORTH IT!! I spent about $20 and that's because I dried my rugs on low/medium heat and kept adding time and checking them as I went. I didn't want to melt them lol. I was SO VERY IMPRESSED with this facility! The other customers were nice, talked to you, helped me when I looked confused on where the Tide went vs fabric softener and bleach 😂, social distanced and didn't crowd you or the machines, and the gentleman, whom I later found out was the owner, was nothing short of amazing! He even helped us ladies carry out our laundry to our vehicles once completed. He didn't hover, was in and out but always checked in every 30 mins or so. He told me he was bringing in several more newer machines soon to replace the older ones. He clearly takes pride in his business and appreciates his customers. He new the regulars by name and asked about their kids. ❤ I have now decided to go back later this week to wash my floor rugs, curtains and sheets. It's a wonderful, safe, clean facility with wonderful people. Don't hesitate to choose this laundromat!!!
I stopped here to wash a King size comforter and I wasn't sure which machine to use. The gentleman that owns the place was helpful in advising me in which machine would work best for that size comforter. Also gave me good advise on which dryer would work best. The place is clean and affordable, the staff is helpful and friendly.
My washing machine was/is not working, so I went to Mtn View Coin Laundry. It was clean, up to date and since I had never been there, the owner showed me the different machines and the whole process and also what services they offered. He checked on me from time to time. Good to know this is here for emergencies or to take bedspreads etc to be cleaned.
Rude staff. I just needed to wash blankets (not to dry, just to wash) I got there at 7:50 and as I'm opening my trunk I hear "CLOSED" shouted at me from seemingly nowhere. The attendant appears in view after a moment and says "it's CLOSED". I said "oh, sorry, I thought this one closes at 9 I don't have to dry, just wash?" Then she gets an attitude with me and starts raising her voice and talking over me saying "last wash was ALREADY CALLED" so I just said "okay thanks, bye" and left. This comes just weeks after me pulling up to the door at 815 to pick up my laundry and watching someone else run over and LOCK it before I can get in. Is there even a point to running a business if you're not going to stick to business hours and you're going to treat your customers like they're inconveniencing you by using your facility? I ran a wash & fold service and was an attendant for two years and would never dream of being so rude to customers.
