V & G Laundry

First off I don’t usually write reviews. I am including with this review pictures so that anyone thinking about coming here thinks twice. Since most people care about different aspects I’ll go through some during my experience here. Parking/people count: Parking is widely available, no issues. There is never a need to walk too far carrying a heavy basket of clothes. The amount of people was fine. Not too busy not dead either. Environment: The place is a pig sty. It appears there is one attendance on duty who does not take any pride in her work. I don’t mean to discriminate, but the amount of work that needs to be done, i don’t feel can be done my her. This is why I feel this lies in the hands of the owner/owners. I am investigating how I can get visitors in that will be able to push the owners to keep the place orderly. It is apparent that there is no interest in getting the place in order. As business owners, it is a failure. It is a reflection on them and they should be ashamed. You will notice signs to customers are written in cardboard or a torn piece of paper. Tape is practically holding the place together. I don’t believe anyone has looked above eye level but there is dust on the walls ceiling fans on top of machines. I see dark stains on the wall, ceiling tiles, and floor. This tells me that no one mops or for that matter sweeps. There is an old soap vending machine that says to use the regular vending machine. Why not just take it off the wall all together, who wants to look at a rusty box on the wall? Arcade machines for kids are either not working or not plugged in, if thats the case remove them, whats the point of having those there. A gumball/candy machine with candy that has (and I am assuming) been there for more than a year. Carts that are held together with rags/tape. Tile missing from the wall, the glass on one of the entrances was held in place with tape. There were large spiderwebs on the sad plant decorations and rust in the sink with a bucket of who knows what. Machines: This can be hit or miss it seems, other reviews state that their clothes came out soapy. Where this might be the case(and I would believe it to be true), my clothes came out ok. If you are pouring liquid in the washers, the fill/hold tanks are disgusting. Never cleaned. There were several machines that didn’t have doors, which surprised me. Once again, dusty dirty machines. One thing I want to note is that a quarter is equal to 8 minutes of dryer time. Please understand these dryers do not heat well, you will more likely than not feel your clothes/towels are still damp and will need extended time to dry. Other laundromats I have been to grant 15 per quarter and heat so much better. So this is less time with less heat. How as an owner are you blind to such simple aspects of your business? You are leaving money on the table. I hope that the owner/owners can reach out to me so that we can discuss the issues with the location and perhaps if there is something I can do to help. No one deserves to do laundry in a place like this. Also if anyone reading this knows any next steps to take such as contacting the BBB or The chamber of commerce etc. to file a complaint, let me know how so that I can take the appropriate steps. Thank you.

Washroom is down , it has been down since the last time I was there 3 months ago and there's no attendance to assist you. It's horrible and this will be my last time coming here.

Take your chances. If you put money in and the machine doesn’t work, there’s a phone number to call someone named Guy but the phone doesn’t accept messages. I’ve listed $$ there and won’t go back!

This place is a dump. But it's the closest to my home and sometimes we need the jumbo machines to wash our blankets. If there was a nicer alternative near by I would definitely go there .

Used to be a good place, once upon a time. Today, change machine ripped me off when I put a $20 bill in. Attendant said there was nothing she could do and that I should call the owner. I'll try, but I know that in the kind of places where I would have to do that, I'm not getting it back. At least authorize your employees to make the customer whole again! I personally know you only pay them cash below minimum wage anyway. If you're running a business, do it right. The community will thank you for it.

The owner is very dishonest and a thief. Please beware of them not giving your money back especially if you were told to come back to the facility to collect your money and they never showed up to refund it. I wasted my time talking to the owner and the laundry attendant. Beware of washers in the very front of the store especially the ones closet to the laundry attendant area. I don't have to lie because you have cameras in your facility that are suppose to work.

Very old place. Most stuff doesn't work.

I prefer this laundromat over hickory hills. There are more working machines. It's not perfect but doable. Most of the machines Hickory hills don't work. I hate having to wait for someone to finish using a machine so I can wash mine such a inconvenience.

horrible experience, lady told me I was putting too much money in the dryer, when I said it was my money, she said she wanted to get out of here on time, and that she would lock the door. This was at 8:00 PM, they close at 10. She said she had to clean the floors, so she wanted me to be done early. Then she was following me around with the mop trying to get me to move out of the way. Horrible, avoid this place, there are plenty of good laundromats in the area.

I came here few years back. Bad experience. But today. 10 stars if I could. Older woman tending to place. Very nice. Extremely clean. All matches got hot to point . First time here and used the big machine. Looked around for an employee with no luck. The washing machine is just spinning with barley enough water to soak my clothes! I poured 4 caps of detergent and it looks like no soap was even put into the machine. Wasted 7 dollars on a wash that didn’t even clean any of my clothes

Decent place. The people who work here are very friendly. Washers work, dryers do too. But my main concern is that bathroom. It's always dirty and it's kinda sad that consumers don't know how to use a bathroom without peeing everywhere.

Usually this place is great but today amazing the lady that works here wouldnt stay off the phone. Had a problem with washer washing for 17 minutes and still says 32 minutes remaining tried to get her attention. But remain talking on phone. To her friend. At least pay attention to people. It gets the job done. They need to clean out them damn machines especially where you put the detergent.
