Powers Avenue Laundry

You know how sometimes washers & dryers at the laundromat eat your money and/or are broken? Not here. The equipment here consistently works very well and there is always an employee available if you need help. They will do your laundry for you if need be. There are plenty of chairs, tables, and rolling carts, and this is a good-sized airy and bright place. The one thing that irks me is that although signs on the door say that pandemic masks are required, hardly a soul wears one.

They’re thieves. They’re dismissive and have zero customer service. One of the washers weren’t pushing water into my load and I wasted money having to rewash a second time in a different machine. I brought up the issue to the attendant AND THE OWNER only to be dismissed. What kind of service is that? I’ve let go in the past when something wasn’t right and honestly this USED to be my favorite place to wash but I won’t be stepping foot in there again. If you go in to wash, dry or if you grab anything from the vending machines and something is FAULTY, just know that they will not treat you with respect and there’s no sense of urgency to make things right. Never again.

Please save yourself from this place. Service worker is rude. The dryers do not dry, and the person in charge does not try to accommodate, or compensate the customer. I had been going here for years but this new management is the worse. If you are a drug addict and need a spot to chill this is the place. This place should be closed. POWERS AVE LAUNDRAMAT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. POWERS AVENUE IS A DISGRACE TO "REAL" LAUNDRY ESTABLISHMENTS. No stars if I'm being totally honest. I was forced to at least put the one star to post👎🏾 but it deserves No STARS.

THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!! There have been too many times that I have gone to this facility and I have been ripped off. The washers are big, and many of them work, most of the time. But many of the dryers are missing heat buttons, and a few have loose doors that do not stay closed securely as your clothes are drying ( a waste of your time and money) so you are not sure which work and which do not. That is.. until you attempt to dry your clothes. MOST TIMES IT'S DRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Because you will not get the quarters you put in by any of the staff if you lose them by way of the dryers not adequately drying your clothes ( and I am always putting 6-8 quarters into each dryer in hopes of getting them dry) then if you complain about the dryers not working sufficiently they will treat you as if you are bothering them. One attendant walked right by me while I was talking to her. One day I put my clothes in a dryer; you have to put a quarter in first to start the dryer before pressing heat selection, so I did. The high selection would not work and would not return my quarter. I told the older lady working there at the time. She came and pushed the high button and the dryer did not start. So how about she pushed the "medium heat" button and said, "see the high button work, it work" I was like, "Huh", did she just do that? A lady standing behind me doing her laundry could not believe what she just saw. If you complain to the owner he will not do anything. That was the last straw for me. Overdue.. time to move on! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!

Needed to do laundry and this place delivered as was open in the middle of the night. Served its purpose and no one was around so I had the place to myself. Some machines were out of service, but they were good to put notes to say so. 3/5 stars as could use a bit of updating like the chairs etc. Prices are decent.

This place is the pits. The Mexicans adults and kids sit on the laundry folding tables . They also lets them run around unattended and they scream. I don’t like to stereotype a race but I know what I experienced. I asked the lady working on site about this and her reply was I’ve told them not to . BAD BUSINESS!!!!!

I love how clean the washers and dryers are here. Its so nice to wash my clothes in a place that feels clean. Prices are comparable tonother laundromats. The attendant is very nice too. She is constantly walking around cleaning the machines.

Innovation, safety, sanitation, a little worried about the lady! Cops usually drive by along with City Officials to check on her and the normal day to day activities! Anyone not washing clothes should never be allowed to remain inside the laundromat! Especially, around a small woman as her! The signs say, if you bump the coin machine you'll be arrested, but a young man kicked it while trying to distract the attendant asking her for a towel! He appeared drunk or high stumbling around, but he left after that I hope whoever is monitoring the video surveillance isn't sleeping on the job! If you put signs up you aren't going to enforce you're putting those young lady attendants at risk for criminal activities! I go there because they have all those video cameras every-where! But if they aren't serious about the harshness of the consequences then, I hope another owner will take over that is serious about protecting and paying those ladies to continue doing quality work with 100% Security!

I've been going there for 10 years and my experience has always been good they kept it clean machines always worked. But over the last 6 months to a year it's always dirty in there the washers smell.

This place is the best nice and clean. Also smell so good. The machines are brand new and feel very comfortable
