I'm disappointed with my recent experience. I brought in a uniform and specifically asked for several patches to be sewn on. I made it clear multiple times that I would remove the patches; in fact had already removed 5 in front of her. Despite my explicit request, I was charged for the removal of patches. When I brought this overcharge to the attention of the individual at the counter, she stated she hadn't heard me. Yet two customers behind me said they heard me perfectly fine. The lady also stated that she was unable to issue a refund because the manager was not present. This lack of attention to detail and unwillingness to resolve a clear billing error is very concerning. The service was not only overpriced but also failed to follow my direct instructions. I advise other customers to be very clear about their requests and confirm the charges are correct before paying, as a refund may not be possible. Update: went to pick up the uniform only to find 4 of the 5 patches wrong. Two had extra sewn on threads that stood out (not the extra loose ones that you easily remove) and two did not have the correct spacing not to mention one was crooked. Then they acted like it was ok and I should take them. I would have failed a uniform inspection if I wore that top. What are they doing there?!? Wish I could give zero stars.

In over 16 years of service, this is the most unprofessional AAFES alterations shop I have encountered. I came in to have my AGSU jacket tailored and my new unit patch sewn on for my upcoming promotion. When I tried on the jacket, I clearly showed the tailor where the jacket was obviously oversized in the chest, waist, and hips, and how I wanted it taken in slightly. She drew some lines on the back of the jacket and told me to check out. When I gave the cashier my new unit patch, I asked her to please pin it to the sleeve that would be changing out to avoid confusion. She refused, saying “trust us we’re the experts.” I looked down at my receipt walking out and it said “let out”. I went back to inquire, and it turns out the tailor decided for herself that she did not like how the vents in the back of my jacket lay (I had it made in Korea) and thought the whole thing needed to be bigger by two inches, when I clearly already had two or so inches to spare on either side. I had to argue to get her to pin the jacket to take it in. Judging from reviews, I am not the only female service member who has been treated this way here. When I returned the pinned jacket, I reminded the cashier about my patch, which she still had. She waved me off and said it was fine. When I returned to pick up, the patch had not been sewn on and the shop had lost my patch. I had to wait an hour for clothing and sales to open to buy a new patch, and then wait for it to be sewn on. (They did grudgingly refund the cost of the patch and the patch sewing fee.) When I first dropped off my jacket, there was a bored/annoyed soldier waiting around. When I picked it up, there was another annoyed soldier waiting with me. When I took the jacket home, I noticed the patch was slightly crooked and not square with the epaulet. I will get it re-sewn elsewhere. Do not go here. I wish I had read the reviews before I did. The people who work here should not be allowed to operate as AAFES concessionaires.

I promoted and gave them a set of OCP's to have my rank, name and service sewn on. I get the uniform back and they mispell my name! (fortunately I had a backup pair and just switched velcro to my new rank). I paid $30 for the above service; it takes ANOTHER $25 to have a new nametape made, the old one removed the new one sewn on and express service so I can wear it quicker. I go to pick it up the day they say it's ready; IT'S THE SAME MISTAKE. All they did was put my wrong uniform in a laundry bag, for the low cost of $25. I ask for a refund for the express cost ($5) and she says she doesn't understand me. Ok. I give them back the uniform to fix and she says it will be ready in three days. Three days later (today) another worker tells me I already picked it up/they can't find it in the system; I insist they STILL have it, two weeks later, and she goes back and finds it....not ready yet and to come back tomorrow. Put a box over your head, get a pair of scissors and blindly cut up your Service Coat while flushing $3.5 down the drain for a better chance of getting what you need; it'll save you the drive.

Don’t go here. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Bills cleaners. Came here to have my coat cleaned, some things re-sewn and an item removed. Was told my coat was out of regulation in a very unprofessional manner. Acknowledged and said I was there to have it cleaned and some things re-sewn. Kept being told it was out of regs. Finally settled and let them “fix” it. Paid $100 only to have loose strings not cleaned up, and the item I asked to be re-sewn wasn’t done. The convenience of the location is not worth the unprofessionalism. Go to Bills.

Showed up to pick up my clothes one time and they said I didn't pay so they made me pay again. What was $30 ended up being $60 because they double charged me. Make sure you tell them to give you your receipt after you drop off clothes, there should be two of them. One is yellow that should say "pre paid" and the other is the regular white one detailing the charges.

I had ordered name tapes with velcro. Confirmed branch and name. Received a call the following day asking for branch again. Ok no problem. Fast forward to pick up day, there isn’t any velcro on the back of name tapes and said cannot refund since it wasn‘t originally ordered…….even though it was! SMH. Apparently there‘s some communication barriers. #frustrating

Clothes still dirty, random new hairs stuck to jacket. Cashier didn't want to sow something for me initially then insisted I pay cash when agreeing, seemed shady. Wouldn't take a military star card either. The worst part is I wasn't asked to remove ribbons and other medals from my jacket and when I received my jacket all of them were missing and I was told "I don't know, not my problem" so now I have to pay out of pocket to replace everything. I've heard great things about tailors right outside the gate, and nothing but horror stories of this one. Do not got here.

Just picked my ASU’s up. The jacket seems like it wasn’t tailored at all. Pants seat wasn’t tailored. They hemmed one pant leg and stopped on the second after less then halfway. Don’t waste your time take it to bills or a cleaner off base.

meh. They do a fine job if you can wait a week. I dropped off my AGSU jacket on a Saturday afternoon and was quoted a regular pickup day of the next Friday, or a "rushed" pickup day of Tuesday (for an extra $5). I'm used to cleaners with a 1-2 day turn around with the same or lower price.

Great cleaner and alterations. They have a predictable, efficient system. And my orders are always ready on time. I've been using them for 18 months and they've never disappointed.
